Bird Sound Recording Workshop with Greg Budney

This 4-day intensive workshop will use a blend of virtual instruction, field recording practice at a location of your choosing, and critical listening sessions.
Learn essential skills to record bird songs and calls from renowned expert, Greg Budney, retired audio curator of Cornell’s Macaulay Library, and ecological educator, Laura Sebastianelli. An engaging and enthusiastic instructor, Greg has taught over 40 natural sound recording workshops to birders, naturalists, and researchers. A passionate observer of wildlife, Laura began sound recording after a workshop with Greg, and established Schoodic Notes: Bird Sounds of Acadia, a collaborative initiative with Schoodic Institute’s Bird Ecology Program. Together, Greg and Laura offer instruction and encouragement whether you are a beginner or advanced level sound recordist.
