Brown Bag: Blueberries and Bees

Both native and honey bees are critical for wild blueberry production.
On Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 12 noon, Lily Calderwood, PhD, Extension Wild Blueberry Specialist and Assistant Professor of Horticulture, University of Maine will talk about the role of pollinators in the wild blueberry ecosystem. Learn how to distinguish a honey bee from a native bee, and how to conduct your own bee counts in the field or garden.
This is a free event. No registration necessary. Meets in Moore Auditorium on the Institute campus.
