Join the Landscape of Change partners Mount Desert Island Historical Society, Schoodic Institute, Acadia National Park, College of the Atlantic, MDI Biological Laboratory, and A Climate to Thrive and Friends of Acadia at Sieur de Monts Nature Center parking area in Acadia National Park to learn more about climate change on Mount Desert Island and learn how to participate in citizen science activities to document birds, insects, buds and flowers.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by and learn more about climate change, how to promote climate resilience, and how to get involved in recording new observations.

This event takes place at the close of National Park Week, and suggested walks in the park will be recommended for ideal viewing of birds, pollinators, and emerging spring flora. Participants will learn more about using the citizen science applications Seek / iNaturalist and Merlin / eBird **Participants are advised to create accounts and download these applications prior to the event**.

These new observations will be added to 140 years of data to help scientists track the impacts of climate change.

All participants must wear masks and practice social distancing in compliance with all Covid-19 health and safety guidelines. This family-friendly program is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Raney Bench at raney@mdihistory.com.
