Science Communication and Engagement in a Rapidly Changing World

July 26 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

On July 26, Schoodic Institute hosts the inaugural Goldstein Lecture to convene and inspire on critical topics for parks, people, and the planet. A panel of leaders will discuss the topic of “science communication and engagement in a rapidly changing world.” The event will take place outside under a tent and will be streamed via Zoom.

The past year has shown the great need for enhanced understanding and engagement in science. The ability to affect change is in the intertwined relationships of us all, and national parks are an ideal space for this collaborative work. In a conversation moderated by science writer Catherine Schmitt, panelists will share their experience and aspirations for engaging the public in addressing critical environmental and social issues of our time.
