Tom Curry Pastel Workshop
October 12 @ 8:30 am - October 14 @ 3:30 pm
Tom Curry, an esteemed Maine coast artist, graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and an experienced teacher, conducts a three-day pastel painting workshop during Maine’s most beautiful time of year. Because of the personal instruction, Tom invites all skill levels to participate. The class atmosphere is collegial and supports development of skills and artistic vision.
Here’s what past participants had to say:
“Tom Curry is a very gifted teacher who works well with artists of all levels. His classes are both informative and fun and push us to explore new possibilities with our work.” – Sherry Streeter
“For a blissful two days I practiced my pastel techniques with Tom Curry amid the fall colors at the Schoodic Institute. I wish it could have been longer. I have worked with him from time to time over the years and always find a refresher course with him valuable! He is also a lot of fun.” – Barbara Damrosch
“I took Tom’s pastel workshop at the Schoodic Institute this past October. Tom is a wonderful teacher – knowledgeable, patient, funny. He deals well with students of all levels. The Schoodic Institute’s facilities and accommodations were lovely. I would definitely return.” – Lyn Mayewski
This year’s workshop is three days, running from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on Monday, October 12, through Wednesday, October 14.
The Commuter Package for $495 includes instruction, continental breakfast with locally roasted coffee and daily lunch and a lobster dinner on Tuesday, October 13. Lodging and a full meal plan are available with the Residential Package for an additional cost.
