DESCRIPTION:In this one-hour discussion\, panelists from research and management backgrounds will consider key issues in the use of managed relocation as a climate adaptation strategy. Potential benefits\, risks\, and hurdles to implementing this technique will be discussed to provide scientific and practical information that will promote a better understanding of this management approach and reduce impediments to employing it. This interactive session will provide audience members with ample opportunities to contribute to the conversation. Peter Clark is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Vermont. Jacquelyn Gill is a Professor of Paleoecology and Plant Ecology at the University of Maine. Chris Nadeau is a Climate Change Adaptation Scientist at Schoodic Institute.
