This month, we were thrilled to present dedicated volunteer and generous supporter Vicki Rea with our second annual Anvil Award.
Vicki has contributed her time in countless ways, from trail maintenance, Welcome Center volunteering, and admin support to work in the Shellfish Resilience Lab. Her quiet generosity and steadfast commitment have made a lasting impression on our community. She is grateful to everyone whose hard work has helped Schoodic Institute thrive, and hopes to see more people joining the volunteer team here.

Established last year in honor of the 25th anniversary of Acadia’s Research Learning Center, the Anvil Award honors individuals whose steadfast dedication, leadership, and support have shaped and strengthened the mission of Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park. Just as Schoodic’s Anvil Trail leads to a high vantage point, those who receive this honor elevate our work and inspire others to follow.
