WINTER HARBOR – Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park is pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Kettler of Lincolnville, Maine, and Truro, Massachusetts, as Director of Development.

With decades of experience in entrepreneurship, environmental stewardship, cultural advocacy, and strategic collaboration, Kim Kettler brings multiple skills and interests to the Director of Development role. After maintaining a full time art studio and leading two successful Capital Campaigns as Board President of Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill on Cape Cod, she returned to school to earn a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Harvard University.

“We are excited to have Kim in this new role at Schoodic Institute,” said President and CEO Don Kent. “Kettler will cultivate relationships with supporters near and far who understand the value of advancing ecosystem science and learning.”

“Schoodic Institute has a well-earned reputation for exploring and analyzing environmental challenges, informing decisions that are urgently needed. I am thrilled and honored to support this consequential work and amplify its success. I encourage anyone who also values our mission to reach out to me. There are many fantastic programs, events and ways to participate,” said Kettler.

Kettler’s recent development successes include the creation of a mission communications plan for The Vos Foundation, a climate change solutions organization; grant and prospect research for The Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government; ongoing management of the Logan Dunne Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Cape Cod Foundation; and development communications for Protect Our Cape Cod Aquifer.

“Kim brings a remarkable combination of talent, insight, and enthusiasm to Schoodic Institute and our mission of science, education, and stewardship,” said Board of Directors chair David Ellwood. “We are lucky to have her and we all look forward to working together.”
