Beginning Friday, May 2nd, our Welcome Center at Rockefeller Hall will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm, seven days a week, through late October.

Constructed in 1934, Rockefeller Hall operated originally as a naval base on the Schoodic Peninsula. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is now home to our Welcome Center, which is run entirely by volunteers. Last season, these volunteers greeted more than 31,000 visitors—an increase of 29% from the 2023 season. Visitors came from all fifty states, more than fifty countries, and six continents (see photos below).

Visit the Welcome Center to purchase your Acadia National Park pass, get your National Park Passport stamped, explore exhibits, and shop in our gift kiosk!
