‘Tis the season to #BEaSEAstar, Schoodic Supporter!
This time of year is when we all take a moment to be thankful. Today, we are grateful for our partnership in the Schoodic Education Adventure (SEA) program:
- Hundreds of students from across Maine participated in Schoodic Education Adventure in 2019, staying on campus and discovering ways to deeply know the coastal landscape.
- Many SEA students, who had never seen the ocean or identified a tree species, now think about land, sea, and sky in a personal way.
- People – like you – see the value in helping today’s young people to become our future environmental stewards and conservation champions. To us, our supporters make the program possible, and are bona fide SEAstars.
Be A SEAstar! Your gift of only $40 helps fund a SEA student’s time here in our awe-inspiring Downeast corner of Acadia National Park where they explore and study nature. A larger gift of $600 helps support our costs of room and board for an entire class.
Get a head start by donating to Schoodic Institute’s SEA program for #GivingTuesday – #BEaSEAstar today!
Giving Tuesday (December 3, 2019) is the largest day of global giving. Last year, over 380 million dollars was raised by generous folks in the United States alone. Yes, the money is significant, but even more important is the awareness raised for causes that people care about.
If environmental research and education is important to you this giving season, please join Team Schoodic in raising money to ensure that Schoodic Education Adventure continues for our future environmental stewards. SEA is possible through the generous support of donors like you, and the partnership of Schoodic Institute, Friends of Acadia, and the National Park Service.
