The American Birding Association has selected Schoodic Institute Bird Ecology Director Seth Benz to be a mentor in the Young Birder of the Year Program.
The association aims to “inspire, encourage, and develop thoughtful all-around birding skills in young, aspiring birders by providing them with the opportunity to receive personal advice and guidance from the pillars of our birding community.”
Benz joins a panel of highly regarded birding professionals to evaluate the efforts of participants in the Young Birder of the Year program, providing feedback and comments to help youth develop and hone their birding skills.
