Are you interested in recording bird sounds in Acadia National Park? Join Schoodic Notes: Bird Sounds of Acadia’s Laura Sebastianelli (naturalist & sound recordist) and Seth Benz (Bird Ecology Director at Schoodic Institute) to volunteer and learn how bird sound recording is done.

Once registered as a volunteer, you will receive free training through a self-paced online course made possible by the Macaulay Library of the Cornell’s Lab of Ornithology. You will also be loaned professional audio recording equipment and will receive guidance throughout your volunteer participation that will support your development as a bird sound recordist.

If you would like to volunteer with the project, please fill out this volunteer training application form. For more information, please email Laura Sebastianelli at wildaroundus@gmail.com.

Schoodic Notes: Bird Sounds of Acadia is a collaborative project between Laura Sebastianelli, naturalist & sound recordist, and Seth Benz, Bird Ecology Director at Schoodic Institute, and includes other volunteer bird sound recordists.
