Hosted by Schoodic Institute and the National Park Service, the Acadia National Park Science Symposium provides a forum to learn about science taking place in the region and to interact and build collaborations with scientists, educators, students, park staff, and others working in a range of fields. The theme of this year’s symposium is wildlife.
Register now to join us for two days of science — October 7 and 16, 2025:
Tuesday, October 7 (virtual only): Why do we do this work? What drives early-career environmental science professionals? Gain insights as they present their perspectives in a series of five-minute lightning talks. View speaker list here.
Thursday, October 16 (in-person and virtual): A full day of symposium events, including speaker sessions on human-wildlife interactions in Acadia and beyond, networking opportunities, morning and afternoon poster sessions, and lunch! Coffee and morning pastries will also be provided. Attend in person at Schoodic Institute’s Moore Auditorium (Winter Harbor, ME) or online via Zoom. View speaker list here.
Attending in person? Save on your commute — and extend your visit to the Schoodic Section of Acadia National Park — by staying overnight at Schoodic Institute. Just add in your desired stay, plus any additional meals, with your registration. And, since your stay supports science in Acadia, you can feel good about booking with us.
