We are excited to welcome 14 new individuals to the Schoodic Institute team this year. This cohort, comprised of researchers, educators, and science communicators, is enthusiastic about contributing to climate change science in Acadia. The team members will serve as seasonal interns, technicians, and fellows as they work towards advancing field research, storytelling, and gaining experience in conservation.
They will collectively work on more than twenty projects across all terrains in Acadia, from windy summits to dynamic intertidal zones, and everything in between. Working both independently and in teams—sometimes with volunteers—they will gather valuable data throughout the summer. You can follow along with their adventures on our Facebook and Instagram, as well as through our web stories and monthly eNewsletter.
The early-career crew will be busy this summer with data collection, discovery, and sharing their experiences in Acadia. Look out for updates through the weekly #FieldWorkFriday social media post, and keep an eye out for our high-visibility vests in the park when you visit.
