Permits are required for research activity in Acadia National Park.
The following lists publications resulting from research in Acadia National Park (National Park Serivice and Schoodic Institute staff, affiliates, and fellows in bold). Schoodic Institute, in collaboration with the Acadia National Park Science Coordinator, reviews and manages National Park Service research permits, assisting scientists with the application, facilitating reviews, and archiving the resulting information. This ensures that research informs park management to protect park resources. Facilities are available at Schoodic Institute for researchers interested in conducting field or lab work, running courses, holding workshops, or just getting away to a beautiful place to write a paper or proposal.
- Learn more about current and past research in Acadia here.
- Learn more about conducting research and obtaining a research permit.
If you have a publication about your research in Acadia and it is missing from this list, email Emma Albee (ealbee@schoodicinstitute.org).
